General Information:

The Torcman TM350 series motors are designed for medium power applications, addressing input power anywhere between 250 and 900 Watts. The very robust motors have been in the field for many years now. They are typically used in Electric Gliders, Scale, Acro – models as well as in Electric Helicopters (30 – 60 sizes)

The TM350 series motors are available in 3 different sizes addressing different applications :

TM350-12                      for Input power up to       350 Watts  obsoleted in 2005  !!!

TM350-20                      for Input power up to       600 Watts

TM350-28 Triton           for Input power up to       900 Watts

For all types there we offer the choice to make between 10 and 14 pole rotors. We will refer to them as 10pole or 14pole in this document.

10pol-versions are typically used in scenarios, where rotation speed between 8000 and 15000rpm are required (mostly helicopters). The14pol versions are to be preferred where torque is more important than rpms. This is typically the case where large diameter propellers are used.

The TM350 Series is the most popular Engine of the Torcman program and the company history and success is based on this type, starting 2001.

 

These motors cover the rabge between 8 and 20 cells (NiMh/NiCd) or between 2S and 6S Lipo cells.

Due to the high number of possible variations (pole count and winding) we are able to create nearly every reasonable combination between cell number and prop size.

The best choice regarding controller for these motors is the Hacker Master 40 or Master 70. This controller adresses applications all the way up to 12 or 16 cells cells and 40 / 70Amps, covering the full motor specification.

For fuselages with a very tight head, it is possible to install an extension kit which moves the motor back by 25mm, reducing the required diameter of the fuselage to 30mm (see drawing below).

RPM/V under load:


The following table gives an overview of the specific rpm in rpm/V. This value is dependent on the stiffness of the motor and is available for a number of different loads.

As our TM350-12 will be obsoleted soon, we do not provide tables for it any more.
